Microdeletion Syndrome 16p11.2-p12.2

We are a small family of three: Mom, dad and our daughter Mollie, who is now 7 years old. We live in a town called Aarhus in Denmark.

In novmber 2010, we had confirmation of the fact that Mollie has Microdeletion syndrome 16p11.2-p12.2. We have chosen to create a website, as we want to share our experience, or get in contact with parents, who have a child with the same syndrome. In November 2010, there were only seven children worldwide, who have this syndrome. As a result of the small amount of cases, we have had difficulties in finding information about this chromosome failure.

 

A description of our daughter Mollie:
Mollie is a happy and very helpful girl, who has a good temperament. Mollie has a positive mind and is very considerate of the people around her. Mollie has got a well-developed sense of humor as well. She is a very communicating girl, who does her very best to understand and adapt to her surroundings.
